My First Tarot Blog (well - my first ever blog!)

Have you ever wondered what you want to be when you grow up?

You know. Like a fireman? A movie star? Cowboy?

It's such a proverbial question. The folks who I classify as "having it all together" are the ones who can at least pretend as if they know what they want. I watch them "firemaning" or "movie starring" and somewhere in my own head I begin to compare. If I could only get it all together.

So what does any of this have to do with tarot? With you? With me?

Well, I am assuming, like me, you are part of the seven billion plus energies buzzing around the planet seeking some form of satisfaction. So what on earth can the tarot contribute to elevate ourselves to the tiny ranks of the knowing? I've always believed any source of information that could help me on the way was worth at least an open mind. And if pulling tarot cards can help, then what the hell?

So here's my card for today (and if you include yourself as one of those seven billion seeking answers to that probing question like what do I want to be when I grow up?) that I share with you.

The 9 of Wands.

We've been through the wringer. See the bandage on our head? It might be invisible but it is still there. It is time for us to take a little breather today and look back at the past - the recent past I would say - and get an immediate sense of where we just came from. Romance, career, personal challenges. KNOW you can go another round. We have the stamina, we are strong and resilient. Our life experience will carry us forward to make the most important decision we need to make. What can I do to love myself in this immediate moment?

Or, if you wish, "what do I want to be when I grow up?"
